•The art show “On Their Shoulders We Stand” highlights suffragists and activists that every person should know about
•In this time, where women’s voices are rising, we must honor those who have done the work before us because it grounds us in our history and encourages us to press on
• The time has come to know our own history and understand the impact that the brave and powerful women of our past have had on current women’s issues.
•The suffrage movement was the first women’s rights movement of modern times.
• Women are the voice of reason and balance. We need to support and encourage women to participate in their civic right to vote as well as run for public office.
