I have spent countless hours wandering through farms and open spaces, letting nature shape my artistic vision. Each visit echoes generations of connection to the land.
Landlines is a series of abstract mixed-media encaustic paintings that incorporate inks made from plants gathered on Colorado’s Eastern Plains. Each piece is inspired by the specific plants I encounter on these journeys. This project holds deep meaning for me, as my grandparents once homesteaded this land before the Dust Bowl forced them to seek refuge in the mountains. Through my art, I aim to bridge past and present, inviting viewers to reflect on their own ties to the land and the lessons nature offers us in healing and resilience. |
